Dr. Rob Knapp, manager of numerical computation at Wolfram Research, Inc., will present a free lecture entitled “Exploring Mathematics and Science with Mathematica” in nine Indian cities from February 7 to 18, 2005. This lecture series, part of Wolfram Research’s first Tour of India in four years, will provide a unique insight into the world of technical computing for Mathematica users of any level.

Dr. Knapp, an architect of the Mathematica kernel since 1994, will use Mathematica in his lectures to demonstrate how its design and key technologies mesh to make it the technical software of choice for a wide variety of applications. These lectures are rare opportunities to learn about Mathematica‘s powerful and diverse uses in education and research from a well-respected developer of the system. A question-and-answer session will follow each presentation.
